Jim Snare,
Associate Director
Jim
Snare is a senior management consultant with
over 16 years experience in the commercial and
government sectors. Currently, Jim supports the
Commander, Navy Installations Command’s Business
Management Office (CNIC BMO), where he assists
CNIC’s performance management activities and
uses his broad range of experience to deliver
special projects and reengineer critical
business processes.
Jim’s consulting expertise includes corporate
strategy, project and program management,
portfolio management, program planning and
budgeting, business process reengineering,
performance management and change management
strategy, including the development and delivery
of strategic and operational communications and
training. In addition, he has demonstrated
subject matter expertise in the system
development life cycle (SDLC), including the
design, development and implementation of IT
systems for both commercial and government
organizations.
Jim has worked with numerous clients and
organizations in the private and public sectors,
including the U.S. Air Force, the Department of
Homeland Security (DHS), the Defense Finance and
Accounting Service (DFAS), the Office of
Management and Budget (OMB) and the U.S. Navy.
He has extensive experience working with and
managing consultants and subcontractors. In
addition, his proven management skills have
enabled him to simultaneously supervise multiple
project teams involved in a broad spectrum of
labor categories and client delivery
responsibilities.
A graduate of the United States Naval Academy,
Jim Snare served for several years as a Supply
Corps Officer in the U.S. Navy before earning
his Master of Business Administration (MBA) at
the University of Virginia’s Darden Graduate
School of Business Administration. Jim began his
management consulting career as a Senior
Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers and held
positions of increasing responsibility and scope
at multiple firms prior to joining the Cowan and
Associates team. |
