Renée Rothlein,
Senior Associate
Renée Rothlein is a 28-year veteran of the
Federal Government, 21 of which were in the
Information Technology (IT) field where she
gained experience through the planning,
acquisition, operation, maintenance and security
of IT systems. Renée started her IT career when
she was selected for the Junior Academic
Fellowship program through the Navy Personnel
Research and Development Center in San Diego
whereby she earned an AS Computer Science degree
in 1993.
Much of Renée’s IT experience
supported the Navy Medical Center San Diego
where she managed clinical computer systems.
After a few years, Renée advanced to IT Project
Manager and Contract Officer Representative
(COR) where she managed multi-million dollar
contracts, prepared program budget estimates,
developed Work Breakdown Structures (WBS’s), and
built program schedules. In 2005 Renée accepted
a post working for the Department of Defense
(DoD) Dependents Schools in Wiesbaden Germany
where for three years she managed the contracts
for numerous, multi-million dollar IT
educational endeavors.
Back in San Diego
from 2008-2011, Renée finished up her Civil
Service career at Space and Naval Warfare
Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN), San Diego where
she was a member of the DoD Enterprise Software
Initiative (ESI), Department of the Navy
Information Technology (DON IT) Umbrella Program
and worked as the Software Product Manager (SPM)
for DoD Microsoft sales. She assisted DoD
customers in making valuable use of their IT
resources by providing technical expertise of IT
software procurement. Renée proved her worth by
processing hundreds of delinquent sales reports
that generated over $2.3M for the Federal
Government. Renée is DAWIA Level II certified
for Information Technology.
Renée
currently provides management support to the DoD
ESI Program.
