Julie’s professional career began in 1997 at
Technology and Resources Assessment Corporation-
North America (TRAC-NA)
in Boulder, Colorado, where she worked as a
staff scientist processing and interpreting
seismic data. In 1999, she moved to
MKS Instruments
as a mechanical design engineer where she worked
in the semiconductor industry with customers,
sales force, and customer service to receive
design requirements in order to develop process
solutions for the customer. In addition, she
worked with engineers, technicians, and other
designers on concept analysis, design,
development, and performance verification of new
products. Julie subsequently worked as a
mechanical designer for
Microfluidics Corp. in Boston, MA
designing microfluidizers – coordinating
requirements and designing products for
customers in the pharmaceutical industry. Most
recently in 2008, Julie worked as a Development
Associate for the Annual Fund at the
Darden School of Business
in Charlottesville, Virginia, supporting
fundraising activities by managing mailings,
re-evaluating the matching gift program,
compiling and editing portions of the bi-annual
magazine, and editing the donor database. |
