Chet has over 20 years of financial, accounting and contracting experience with DoD, corporate and higher education organizations. Most recently, he was Controller and Finance Director at Western Nevada College. Prior to that, Chet spent nearly 10 years with International Game Technology (IGT) in Reno, Nevada. At IGT, Chet had several key positions including Finance Director, Gaming Division Controller and National Field Operations Manager. During his tenure, IGT was added to the S&P 500 list and was twice named one of Business Weeks 50 fastest growing companies in the United States. Chet began his professional career as a Supply Officer in the United States Navy. During his 20 year career he served in variety of both operational logistics positions as well as senior staff positions. Operational assignments included serving as Supply Officer on a Trident Class submarine as well as serving on the outfitting and commissioning crew of a Los Angeles Class fast attack submarine. He also was the Supply Officer of the Fallon Naval Air Station, home of the Navy’s “Top Gun” aviation training school. Major staff positions include serving as Executive Assistant to the Director of Supply Programs and Policy on the Chief of Naval Operations staff and as the Navy’s Petroleum Manager on the OPNAV staff. Chet spent 3 years as a Legislative Liaison with the Navy’s Office of Legislative affairs with responsibility for all Business Operations and Contracting matters with both the U. S. House of Representatives and U. S. Senate. During this time Chet worked with members of Congress to hold over 30 small business conferences around the country in which hundreds of small businesses were given guidance by senior navy contracting officials relating to how to do business with the government and Department of Defense. As CFO, Chet has responsibility for all fiscal and accounting operations at C&A as well as contract administration and HR. Chet graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Marketing from St. Cloud State University and received his Masters of Business Administration degree at the University of Virginia’s Colgate-Darden Graduate School of Business Administration. At Darden, Chet earned the Michael Shermet Scholar award and graduated with the faculty award for academic excellence. Chet also was the youngest Fellow at the time selected for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Seminar XXI Program on economics and international politics. |
